Christina (Tina) grew up in Lowell, Indiana, about an hour south of Chicago and moved to Panama City, FL in 2002. When she was young, her parents owned a department store in her small home town and were in business for over two decades. Watching her family business go through ups and downs led her to want to become an accountant.
Tina earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business with High Distinction majoring in accounting from Indiana University Northwest and then continued on to get a Masters of Science in Taxation from DePaul University in Chicago. Today she holds active CPA licenses in both Florida and Indiana, but can accept work throughout the United States via reciprocity.
Her background includes working as an internal auditor for a Fortune 500 steel mill and a hospital system, as well as a tax consultant at a national CPA firm. To build on her prior experience, Tina expanded her knowledge in the healthcare sector. She earned the distinguished Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) designation from the Healthcare Financial Management Association. In addition, she graduated with honors from an intensive medical coding program, as well as being licensed as an all-lines adjuster and to sell health insurance in the State of Florida.
Tina is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She volunteers as a mediator in Florida’s 14th Judicial Circuit ADR program. She is a Florida Supreme Court certified Circuit and County Mediator, as well as a licensed as Mediator of Claims handling insurance disputes for the Florida Department of Financial Services.
